1850 Ultras vs Tau

This was ones interesting from the standpoint of Tau with a Ork Deathstar, the Orks hell-bent to capture my quad gun before my Airborne reserve could arrive. For a moment, they succeeded and I had to get the big gun back before turn 4...

Hey Ming,

 

Is that "skyray" supposed to be a "Hammerhead"? Skyrays have 6 hunter-killer missiles and 2 markerlights. Hammerheads are the Tau main battletank, and have a 6 different forge world turrets available.

 

I haven't seen any forge world variants for the Skyray, but they could make one.

 

 

Otherwise a cool battle and an excellent report.

I have to say i liked your report. You have a certain irrepresible panache when you write these out and i thank you for it sir. Was the scenario a spur of the moment thing, or borrowed for somewhere else? looks like a neat idea.

(1) He did not have the actual forgeworld book in hand, my terminology may be off but he used a Skyray model and said the FW variant looked the same with plasma-cannon like entities on the back wing.
