Noctus Cornix
So, I will be perfectly honest. This new codex is inspiring. Like the old 3.5 codex, the flavor and depth of the 6th edition codex really makes me want to put real effort into every single one of my marines. Especially my champions. So, as most of you have see my champion of Nurgle, now I have for you my champion of Slaanesh. http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/WP_000142_zpsa32cfa21.jpg http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/WP_000143_zps7e7a75f4.jpg http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac352/Noctus-Cornix/WP_000145_zpsc22bf7ca.jpg So I'll start with a simple question that I hope you guys can give me a hand with. I plan to have a seperate faction representing each of my armies that make up the warband. The main bulk of the army is Night Lords of the Ankou Pact, my Plague Marines and Nurgle dedicated units are represented as the Cleaved. And now we come to my Slaaneshi Marines. What do you guys think would be a cool idea? I'm actually really leaning towards the Corpus Brethren. I think an army of sadistic cannibals in power armour running around the galaxy is a bad ass idea and will really lend well to my Night Lords. The only problem is, I'm not sure what would be a good color scheme. Any ideas? Note: I will not be making any ridiculous color scheme involving neon greens or any pink. I don't like that so deal with it. I'm also not that keen of making anything with purple as I want to move away from the typical idea of a slaanesh marine. Thoughts? Noctus Cornix
It most certainly is. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262941-lord-of-ecstasy/#findComment-3203139 Share on other sites
Zeller
Assuming these guys fight other marines from time to time it would be safe to say that they take damage in the process. Their armor might become so damaged they need to scavenge parts from their meals? Mabye have a series of armor parts from various other chapters and legions or what not. I'm thinking a main color of bone with either crimson or black trim. Oojamaflip
Hmmm, Slaanesh with no bright, neon colours...if you're going for a cannibalistic theme, how about lots of leather and PVC? A kind of Hellraiser feel? Flayed skin, chains and blades... It could almost cross over into Dark Eldar territory, but that wouldn't be so surprising considering which god is responsible for them acting the way they do... So, no pinks etc, but actual flesh tones could be good. The cloth hanging from the waist could be skin, and the daemonic face on the chest could actually be coming to life instead of just being decoration... Look forward to seeing what you choose... Jeez, I use a lot of ... in my typing...hmmmm... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262941-lord-of-ecstasy/#findComment-3203158 Share on other sites
BassWave
Loving that model :) Why not teal, and grey, with the fleshy idea oojamaflip had? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262941-lord-of-ecstasy/#findComment-3203209 Share on other sites
ThisisJimmy
How about a cream colour but with almost a purple wash, like The Damned Company of Lord Caustos? The purple isn't too overpowering but the model will still have some of the trademarks of a Slaanesh worshipper. Fantastic model by the way, loving the work you are doing. Kol Saresk
Bleached bone with a dark blue trim with a brighter green highlight on the trim. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262941-lord-of-ecstasy/#findComment-3203471 Share on other sites
chaplainmikey
Love that model, nice to see the new Raptor parts being used as such. How about black with a cool blue for the trims and such? A marble-ish colour with dark trims maybe? Have a go with the B&C marine painter and see if anything catches your eye. Mike. Noctus Cornix
Glad everyone seems to like the conversion so far. Still haven't decided fully on the color scheme but hell, I'll figure it out in time.
