Reclusiarch equipment problem

DominicJ is correct.

A bit off-topic, is buying a powerfist for a reclusiarch a huge waste of points? As much as i know power mace are quite good in itself(and often over looked), is it not worth spending 15 pts for a x2 str AP 2 attack on a reclusiarch?

He provides rerolls, and has a crack at none S8 ICs

He did manage to wound a necron god thingy a few times.

People get really hung on AP3.

Considering most ICs will now be wandering around in +2 armour, or will have a +4inv

Its not a giant issue

Considering chaplain are there for their rerolls primarily, and secondly to bring killing power.... Its work able. Lacking AP3 is somewhat a waste, but not having it doesent make him useless either! Wounding most MEQ's on 2's means more wounding hits which should see armour saves failed itself :woot:

Still a very fluffy HQ option for us :)

I think 15 points for a power first is a steal. I always take one then I can choose mace or fist depending on what I'm facing. In the shooting phase, I just have him throw grenades.

This option above all else, with allies and all sorts of AV4 units turning up ( chaos demons come to mind here) I am thinking the mace has its place. Chaplains that can take a fist or mace are pretty useful. Lemartes is a shoo in here with his higher initiative. It seems that AV4 will become a little more common now. Still the chaplain competes with a libby and divination lore.

Does anyone run a chaplain outside of death company anymore?

I occasionally run my TA reclusiarch with one of my 2 termi squads, either my TAC or TAS marines. He is extremely helpful on the charge for TH/SS marines, and his extra shots plus rerolls help the TAC marines alot. I've never run one w/ a PF before though...

PLANNING TO: Have a reclusiarch leading my main assualt force, while having a JP libby leading the secondary assault force as back-up support.

I still have DC, be seeing as my pod-DC is a distraction suicidal unit... i opt to not put my reclu. there, even if the benefits could be big...
