CrashTestDummy
Couldn't resist the temptation of the new Dark Vengeance set. I'm thinking I'll continue the half n half scheme across the whole army and position (i.e., a techmarine would be half red, half bone). One issue I'm having. What color should I make the scrolls. Here I made them an off white, but not quite sure if I like it. Also, seeing the model this close and blown up I'm going to go back and try to soften some of the transitions. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to try and take my painting skills beyond my comfort zone, so if you can think of anything to try out that would help the model pop, please let me know! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l1FnNs1n1qs/UHS5G7YQS6I/AAAAAAAAAaw/67dE-ZHzyqo/s1600/IMG_9598.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b33qdY6XfbI/UHS5HENkvZI/AAAAAAAAAa4/QTWTih7Vrgg/s1600/IMG_9600.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HUJzbKvqlBY/UHS5HuNhXfI/AAAAAAAAAa8/MKx-p_dQQK4/s1600/IMG_9602.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262980-angels-of-redemption-test-model/ Share on other sites
Tyrannicide
Great job on a challenging scheme. I think the purity seals look fine, and I especially like the subdued red that you've chosen for the weapon casing. Keep at it man, an entire army in these colors would look fantastic. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262980-angels-of-redemption-test-model/#findComment-3203703 Share on other sites

BoogeyMan^
Why you haven't painted the eyes in blue like plasma thingy? It will look amazing in my opinion. Bone looks great. Keep up great painting, scheme is very striking. Isiah
Great looking AoR test. Very challenging scheme to try and get right. Test no more you have your solution . How will you treat the base? Cheers I Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/262980-angels-of-redemption-test-model/#findComment-3204077 Share on other sites
MagicMan
Great work, a halved scheme can be a bitch to paint but you've pulled it off really well. I think he parchment looks fine as it is, its distinct enough from the bone anyway. CrashTestDummy
I'll try blue eyes on the next guy. As for the base, I'm going to attempt to do a cityfight theme with rubble and what not.
