Montuhotep
Well, yes, orange and black. Macharius Orange for the base coat but what after that? Anyone with any tips for me? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263075-the-pyre/ Share on other sites
Urauloth
I don't know how good a basecoat macharius orange is, like a lot of foundation paints it's got a slightly pastel, chalky look to it. Fire dragon is probably your best bet for highlights, either way. You could work up brighter by adding yellow or white and then knock it back down with an orange glaze, too, if you need to go brighter than fire dragon. Konstantin the Apostate
I have done one or two test models for a tentative Pyre-splinter group, a tzeenchtian warband called the oracles/prophets of Q'sal. I sprayed them white, then applied two or three coats of thinned-down trollslayer orange; the details of the armour were painted abaddon black. I then watered down som Nuln oil and applied that.. It gives the orange armour a greasy oily sheen, which i'm quite fond of. I 'm still considering what to do about highlights. I may return tomorrow and put in some pictures, time permitting.
