FeelNoShane
Greetings everyone, This is the first posting of my work Ive ever done. That being said I'd love to hear all of the feedback you have on it be it positive or negative. I am completely ready for 30k battles and this is where I am cataloging all the glory of the Iron Warriors. THE THEME The basis for the army is set at the Dropsite Massacre, so lots of desert goodness coming your way. I will be using this blog to bounce ideas off of you guys as well as my local gaming club HOBBY CENTRAL WAR BOYZ. I want this army to have loads of troops and armour all around. MY PLAN At this point I have begun building the IVth Legion starting with the Primarch Perturabo. From that point on I will be building up the infantry base of the force. I am in no way made of money as I suspect most of you are in the same boat. Currently I have: 1- Perturabo 40- Tactical Marines 5- Rhinos 1- Razorback The tactical marines will be converted into various Mk armour types of the Heresy Era Legion. At this point Perturabo is complete and I have posted him in the Tale of 20 Gamers Parallel Thread. Here are some of the WIP shots of Perturabo All the metal work complete on Perturabo Finished Shots of Perturabo. Lets take a look around him. A Close up of Forge Breaker Finally a scale shot next to a WIP Iron Warrior That's it for me right now. My goal is to give an updat on WIP every Sunday. C&C welcome and thanks for looking. FeelNoShane
very cool, looking forward to it. where is that Peturabo model from? Thanks for the feedback. The model is from Kabuki Miniatures, they have like 14 Primarchs created. They are listed as Knights of Legend, Perturabo is the Steel Knight. Great company fast shipping to the US. Grotsmasha
Dude, there's no faulting Perturabo, he's awesome!!!! Although.....it was my understanding that he wore Termi armour? Still who cares when what you've got looks that sweet. I'll be following for sure. FeelNoShane
Mr. eversole! It's Grog! Perturabo, looks super rad! Thanks a lot everyone for the comments. Grotsmasha- I have also noticed in the Collected Visions, Perturabo dawning terminator armour. Maybe when the Forge World version comes out he will be in terminator armour. I'll buy it either way. Empty Choke- you'll have to help me improve my face painting its a bit rough. NEW IDEA: I have contacted Gav Thorpe via facebook and he has given me his overall idea and inspiration for the Thunderstrike Assault Guns (featured in his audiodrama Raven's Flight). More on that in the coming weeks. Gav says its like this tank Bandkannon on a rhino chasis. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/27/Bandkanon_1.jpg/300px-Bandkanon_1.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263076-the-ivth-legions-astartes/#findComment-3205264 Share on other sites
SickSix
I think PuppetsWar's 'Big Momma Cannon' would be perfect for an Iron Warriors army. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263076-the-ivth-legions-astartes/#findComment-3205469 Share on other sites

FeelNoShane
Here's an update on the Iron Warriors got all the greenstuff work done on the first five Mk V marines. Now they have been primed and ready for paint this week. I also finished assembly on the other 5 marines in the squad. Now its time to paint the first five and add studs to the second group here. Nice, cheating by using GW bitz instead ;). FeelNoShane
In order for me to make these the best models for the time and effort I will need to hit up the FLGS for some modelling supplies and sculpting tools this week. More to come on progress in the coming week. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263076-the-ivth-legions-astartes/#findComment-3211933 Share on other sites

Oir
Any idea how those Kabuki miniatures match up with FW's Angron size wise? They look pretty darn cool Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263076-the-ivth-legions-astartes/#findComment-3212025 Share on other sites
FeelNoShane
Any idea how those Kabuki miniatures match up with FW's Angron size wise? They look pretty darn cool I do think Angron is a little taller than the Kabuki model, though both are bent quite a bit at the knee. I think they are pretty close in size I'll show both the FW Angron and the Steel Knight. Hope these help. FeelNoShane
So a change of direction as I still have tons of 40k Iron Warriros to paint. I'm tired of not having anything built or painted so here we go. The 40k side here is set on Hydra Cordatas (Storm of Iron) I could even tie in my Pre-Heresy guys to the same planet. Pics to follow as I can't get them to load from my phone.
