MFive
Q: Are Glaive Encarmines treated as ‘unusual power weapons’ (and therefore AP 3), or do they follow the rules for power axes/swords as defined by the type of weapon the model is carrying? (p50) A: Glaive Encarmines follow the rules as described in the Types of Power Weapon section on page 61 of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, but also have the Master-crafted and Two-handed special rules. They would therefore have the following profiles. Glaive Encarmine (Sword) Master-crafted, Range S AP Type - User 3 Melee, Two-handed. (Axe) Master-crafted, Range S AP Type - +1 2 Melee, Two-handed, Unwieldy does this mean that they get both profiles for there weapons and thus get to choose witch profile they attack with? or is it model based? Arkkinite
Well, since WYSIWYG, most hobbist would see it a model based. Of course, if you told your opponent in advance that all glavies are count-as axes/swords then I'm sure it's fine (since we only get 2 axes and 3 swords per box :< ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263082-glaive-of-encarmine/#findComment-3205050 Share on other sites
