Adra'Melek
The Reconnaissance Marines seem to be full on Space Marine who specialize in scouting. Armed with Power Armour that can be swapped for recon armour. There is also a 'Centurion' type that specializes in recon. Raven Angel
From what little I have seen, most of it from DA, It would appear that whole companies were being trained up together and shipped out to the front. It seams that some where broken up to replaces loses while others were formed into new chapters and deployed in expedition fleets. The training structure was designed to rapidly churn out as many troops as possible. Scouts appeared to be an elite formation in the Legions.
