elmo
WIP linky here This has been a long project which is now in its final stages of weathering on the last Vindicator but the siege shields are all done. http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/B%20and%20S%20WIP/PA130022.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/B%20and%20S%20WIP/PA130021.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/B%20and%20S%20WIP/PA130023.jpg All 3 are magnetised to allow conversions into Rhino/Razorback/Whirlwind/Predator or Vindicator - the tutorial link is in my signature. Killax
Great job! Now I think the most left would look akward as a single Vindicator with that random piece of white... Nontheless, great job!
Brother Saturnus
Whoa dude!! That's a agreat thing you've made. I'll look through your WIP layer, but what did you use to finish (vanish, seal) your tanks? They have a subtle sheen to them that looks particularly metallic. Fantastic work, Brother Elmo. elmo
Thanks for all the comments Brothers - it is appreciated ;) @Brother Saturnus: The green is just DA green (which normally drys gloss) no varnish was harmed during the painting of these tanks B)

Schmitt.
Jesus Christ, my mind is blown. Really dig the freehand angel on the left-hand one, the little skull kill-markers, the matched vehicle names, the effect altogether is awesome. As Killax noted, the leftmost one is the only vehicle that looks a little bit off as a single vehicle - but I suppose that more or less emphasises the fact that they're supposed to be use together as a vehicle squadron. I assume some sort of wizardry was involved in making the DA symbol look so great across the dozer blades. How on earth did you do those translucent vehicle numbers? elmo
Thanks for all the kind comments brothers - much appreciated :D Here are a few more photos of the other sides of the latest Vindicator- the rest you can see in my DA thread (link in my sig.) http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190003.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190004.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190005.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190006.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190007.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190008.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190009.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190010.jpg http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz66/jonbrooks_photo/Dark%20Angels/PA190011.jpg @Schmitt.: The vehicle numbers are from the SM vehicle sheet - they just came out like that :D There where no wizards harmed in the DA symbol it was just pure hand-eye coordination and a pencil outline. The latest one does look a little off as a single but the idea is to play all three together or if only one or two are used then it would be the other two so the problem of it looking a bit off should not come up

elmo
@dizzy-xc: Thanks, I have always been a bit understated with my highlights - I was put off years ago by some of the neon GW stuff that used to be around <_< @Somar, Tarvik and Brother Sgt. Steine: Glad you liked them and thanks for the kind comments.
