At 28-10-2012 Crusader squad "Sanctity" is now complete and at full strength.

Soon crusader squad "Retribution" and "Crux Terminus" will be up to full assembled battle strength as well.

Hello everyone I'm a new Initiate in the [blacklisted] crusade off in the [blacklisted by helbrecht] system!

Today I'll tell you a bit about our current crusade in the making.

 

This is our fearless leader, I think he's called Grimaldus or something, I think he's kinda scary being called 'grim' and all but hey it is the 41'th millennium!

He's a bit of a weird fellow but he dresses snazzy.

 

We also have our fellow meatshields, err Neopythes! which come dressed as us, only you know. smaller and less sturdy...

We have the standard male heroes, although most of them are lazy and have not fully removed the all imposing black dirt from their armor yet which is preventing any other color from showing... we need to get that fixed this millennium.

And then off course there are the parts that Grimaldus ordered via EmperorBay and the ForgeWorlds, ahh to be a Templar in such times of strife and inability to kill small flying vehicles... wait what?

Finished my retinue today, did most of the work on the other HQ and troop units, mostly needs highlighting now.

great start really excited to see how this will come together! how many points are you working up too?

 

I currently have a slightly over 2100 points worth of Templars (and 2.5k in vanilla/GK that needs to be cleaned first) with more planned (just want to finish these guys first seeing as thats a task in and off itself) but I'm aiming for roughly 4000-5000 points in models with a final goal being apocalypse sized games and FW models (already have an Achilles and cont. AA dreadnought coming in to test the waters with and will potentially get a titan much later down the line).

My local club does these apoc sized games on a bi-monthly basis and I want to partake in it seeing as I'm the only BT player in the city (whom at least plays in one of the stores/gaming houses) as it currently stands and well I want to spread more Templar love in the hopes that it gets a small following or something.

 

But for right now (read: the next month or 2) the plan is to build these 2100 odd point units and then to base them when they're all painted and have their decals and sealants.

Meanwhile, one speeder is done, almost everything is assembled, primed and manually made chaos black (dear god the black stains on he everything!)

Also am partaking in the BT 1 month 1 MoS challange so the army may slow down in favor of one well armored chaplain.

Chappy's up to spec, also used him to test out my snow, supposedly it rises as it dries, if not I'll use ye old "gluesnow" mix.

I love the chappy! The TH/crozius combo is real cool, particularly with the TDA. Only criticism is the mold line on the hammer...

That line actually got sanded to death 10 seconds after noticing it on the photo (I blame the lighting in my workroom). but thanks for the kind words.

Between building, priming and blacking stuff up I did start on my CH stormraven, I know it's not part of codex BT but my FLGS told me to get a flier because they want me to use something other then LRC (I think they're just scared of all the CCW rolling out of those 24/7)

Note: the metalic paints react awkwardly when shone upon with the camera flash and lights, might have to matte coat it before taking pictures when using these paints.

Very nice, brother. Especially like those PA helms in the TDA suits; can't say I've ever thought of doing that! Keen to see the end result...

Not a big fan of Terminator helmets to be honest.
