AngelVeto
Greetings Brothers. Yes I am A Dark Angels player posting in your spot, but before you go ahead and try to tear out my throat... I'm looking for any Wolves that are super into fluff / play deathwatch. I made a thread in the appropriate area, but as I am looking to acomplish the task I am setting out for within 5 days I figure this couldn't hurt... Posted in other games http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=263388 but as I'm sure most Of you Wolves tend to stick to your marked territory ( pun slightly intended...) I figured I would ask for aid from the unlikeliest of sources... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263392-rpg-wolves/ Share on other sites
Khine
-Raises hand- You have found one here. What were you intending exactly? your thread seems a little .. lacking in information about your Deathwatch project if that is what you are attempting. AngelVeto
I am looking to give some token or item that would convey how our bond has grown. How I no longer view him as a raucous upstart with a big mouth in need of a good shave; but how I now view him as a raucous battle brother with a big mouth. :) it's more of a role playing gift, but something I can get from a sprue or make with green stuff so he can put it on the model he has representing his character (our group likes to have actual models when we are playing, and on a real table, as it adds to the effect. Karack Blackstone
What role is he? If your fellow player is a SW fan, has he taken any advanced options? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263392-rpg-wolves/#findComment-3209133 Share on other sites

Growler67
Find/modify/create significantly special Battle Knife to honor your Wolfkin....you can throw in the joke about the 'needing a good shave' in there too - appropriately worded....of course. Your location as i have gotten away from 40K in the conventional sense and have been walking the path of fluff and fan fiction as well as just customizing models. I also have a deep interest in the DethWatch and have picked up several reference tomes in this regard. Dreary PNW of the North American continent, Terran System is my current outpost if it matters. PM is just as well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263392-rpg-wolves/#findComment-3209303 Share on other sites

-Volsung-
Hahaha, bro-mance much? :jaw: Don't give him a book. He might use it as a coaster. Don't give him any weapons, he'll likely consider his weapon superior to any of it. Don't give him pieces of your armor. Green and grey don't mix well. (EDIT- Especially not your helmet, and especially if it has the Dark Angel emblem emblazoned on the forehead. He'll be the laughing stock of the feasting halls if he comes home wearing that. You COULD give him the left kneepad with your company badge painted on it, but that depends on the badge itself. The checkered, black-and bone pattern would look decent on a Space Wolf) Especially don't give him your robe or pieces of it. That's just too much bro-mance. Besides, he might just use it to blow his nose. Hmmm... are you Deathwing? If you are Deathwing, giving him your Inner Circle dagger would be one hell of a gift... if only he understood how much it's worth. Likely he won't even know what the Inner Circle is. But it'd be one hell of a combat knife. http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2070130_99120101060_DAChapterUpgrade_873x627.jpg Overall, a combat knife would be a good choice of a gift. Modelling-wise, perhaps go for the one strapped to the backpack unit, or the red-curved-handle one next to the spherical censer. The pistol-holster with the knife is also a good choice. Or an adamantium-forged hip-flask. That's always handy, considering carrying a glass bottle of ale around can be mighty risky. Nothing yells bummer like a stray bullet glancing your armor and shattering your last bottle of Fenrisian ale. Or perhaps a witty-poem you composed to tell the tale of his saga, written down by the finest servo-skull on the finest Terran parchement, composed in the most sombre Calibanite iambs? This one is a lil bro-mance, but not too crazy if its a particularly witty and even heroic poem. The rolled up scroll from the Black Templar sprue can do the job for this one... http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1252504_99120101043_BTupgradespruemain_873x627.jpg Worse comes to worse, give him the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch Secundus. Also comes in the Black Templar Sprue. Also, might I recommend, in case you thought otherwise, NOT to buy the sprues themselves, but check on ebay bits vendor. Not worth buying the whole thing for a tiny bit of plastic. :jaw: EDIT- for Spelling Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263392-rpg-wolves/#findComment-3210190 Share on other sites
AngelVeto
I am not Deathwing. My reasoning for being seconded to the Deathwatch go hand in hand with the reason for me being stuck at Codicer rank. My character was found wanting in the proper level of repentance with the knowledge he was given. His prowess and Mastery in Close Combat, where he uses his Force Sword and Psychic powers together as if they are matched blades allowed Angelus to be sent to the Ordo Xenos fulfilling two objectives. Honouring the agreement made with the Apocryphon Conclave of Orphite IV, and sending a young and hot headed member of the chapters inner ranks out to gain some worldly experience with the hope of him becoming more worldly and thus less quick to become agitated.
