Conversion and Base question

Recommended Posts

So I was thinking maybe I would skip Huron and instead get this lovely fellow, for a combined outflank giver and Noise Marine troopmaker, as a birthday present for myself (I'm turning 30 in 1,5 hours).

But what base should he have in 40k? Is it the kind of biker bases that comes with these ladies, or something else?

How would you convert your Slaanesh Lord/Sorcerer on Steed?

I'm a bit torn between the good looking circular ones (where the 40mm would look best imho) and the biker base that I guess 'should' be used, but I'm not sure on the later since it's not supplied with one for 40k. On the other hand, other steeds come with a biker base.
Since there's no official model, I think you can do anything within reason. That's particularly true when you're doing it for aesthetic reasons. As long as you're not modeling for advantage (and it certainly sounds like you're not), knock yourself out.
yep no official size . you should take the base from tervigon and model the mount to be the size of 2/3 of a land raider [but low , so he can hide behind walls. think chaos lord siting on a starfish with 8 arms .

^ That is a perfect example of "modeling for advantage," which is the one thing I think you are not allowed to do. :D

Or better yet use a dinner plate?

ON a serious note, i would like at a 40mm base and then you can always make it part of a 60mm base so you can do a cool scenic but when you actually play its on a 40mm base?
