d@n Posted October 16, 2012 Share Posted October 16, 2012 I want to take demons as allies. in the demon codex it just says something along the lines of any unit that deep strikes 6" from a chaos icon dosnt scatter. now my question is this only chaos demon icon or do csm icons count aswell? i would love to do the old demon bomb tactic with my word bearers arm. Chaos Icons are Icons of Chaos in both books, and so C:D units can home in on C:CSM icons. However, C:CSM units cannot home in on C:D icons. Sception Posted October 17, 2012 Share Posted October 17, 2012 The quoted rules is the rules text of a specific piece of wargear, not general army rules. I'm pretty sure it only applies to that piece of wargear, not to any other wargear that might share a similar name from some other codex. Much to my chagrin, GW seems intent on preventing any sort of direct synergy between codeces.
