Bizniaus Posted October 17, 2012 Share Posted October 17, 2012 If a blood angel assault unit with jump packs is being carried in a Storm Raven, if you decide to depstrike the vehicle do you get to use the Decsent Of Angels Rule ?? Legatus Posted October 17, 2012 Share Posted October 17, 2012 Well, it is the Stormraven doing the deep striking, not the Assault squad, so the Stormraven would not reduce his scatter distance when deep striking. Plus, the Blood Angels FaQ (p. 1) amended the 'Descent of Angels' rule to say that "a Blood Angels unit composed entirely of models with this special rule can re-roll failed reserve rolls if arriving by Deep Strike using its Jump Packs." So the Stormraven + Assault squad would not be allowed to re-roll the reserve roll firstly because the Stormraven is a model without the Special rule and secondly because the unit is not arriving by Deep Strike using its jump packs.
