Ming
New battle report on my blog linked here. 3rd Company and IG allies - the 555th Reg "Triple Nickles" continue to do well supporting each other. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...&blogid=697 This battle got real difficult the longer it went, with the opponent eventually having total air superiority and me just having some plucky vets, a handfull of marines, and lots of plasma...and a tiny, shrinking kill point gap.... Next time I get a chance to play I wonder if I should just plow forward and leave the Aegis behind...I'm finding my current tactics show I'm not prone to rush right into an opponent and assault them, except as a distraction or opportunistic assault. I'm winning games that don't rely on mobility, and that can be a bad crutch to lean on. Here is an interesting challenge - How would you have attacked my renegade IG opponent with my list? Sketch up an attack plan of your own to take on this mixed IG list (tanks, flyers, mech infantry, and horde) and showcase what you think might have happened...differently.
