warsmith
Hail Brothers! Simple questionreally and one thats probably been answered but that I've missed. If for an example I have 3 Wolf GUard in a squad and I split 2 off to join units what is the remaining model classed as unit/character wise? Does he become a unit of one/independant character and so on? Please help. JamesI
He would just be a unit of 1, not an Independent Character. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263698-splitting-wolf-guard/#findComment-3212773 Share on other sites
Khine
can you join Independent characters to unit's of one? dswanick
can you join Independent characters to unit's of one? Ik you cant in the case of .. ie Mephiston A Wolf Guard unit does not always consist of a single model, therefore ICs can join a unit of Wolf Guard that just happens to consist of a single model. This is exactly correct. Probably no good reason to attach an IC to a single Wolf Guard, however. I still don't think I'd ever attach an IC to Arjak all by themselves. Throw in a Hunter pack, too, then sure, but otherwise don't think so. Wulfebane
Keep in mind a solo WG is easy to kill (especially so compared to a Lone Wolf) and will make it easier to wipe out the pack for purposes of kill points. space wolf
Keep in mind a solo WG is easy to kill (especially so compared to a Lone Wolf) and will make it easier to wipe out the pack for purposes of kill points. agreed, there is almost no reason to do this. In my experience, there is always a third squad you can attach that remaining WG to. Hell give him a cyclone ML with termy armor and stick him with your longfangs....expensive, but still useful Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263698-splitting-wolf-guard/#findComment-3212909 Share on other sites
Rift Blade
Unfortunately you must have a minimum of 5 WG to take any Terminator Heavy weapons. But agreed, unless you're playing 500pts or something, there should always be a third pack top attach him to. Leaving on his own is just a gift of a kill pt to your opponent.
