Traitors to the Imperium of Man, Hear the Call of Chaos!
Those of you having problems painting your forces, those of you who merely wants painted minis on the tabletop but cannot find the motivation, now is the time to act.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to get those unpainted minis under the paintbrush.

Mission Statement

To assist players in the building, converting and painting of their army. By using open project threads, each player will be able to inspire other players with what they are doing, and at the same time receive feedback on the progress of their army. Each player is encouraged to provide constructive feedback to her/his fellow participants throughout the Call.

Call of Chaos Requirements

1. Your army must be a supported Chaos faction on the B&C (E.g. Power-Armored and/or under an Existing Sub-Forum). e.g. Codex: Daemons is allowed.
2. The Call will last for 3 months only. Please be aware of this when entering what you will paint. From past experiences, time management is key to success.
3. You are allowed to submit between 2 to 5 items; no more, no less. An item is defined as: a single character/squad/vehicle from your relevant codex.
4. You are expected to submit a minimum of 2 updates in this thread, per month, for the duration of the call. There will be consequences if this is not followed. Making an update here is quite easy, you simply post a reply in this thread with a link to the relevant updates in your WIP thread.

To make it easier on the event organisers, please post your updates in your WIP thread using the following format.
<Month>, Update <number>.
e.g. April, Update 1.

Should you complete your items within the 3 months and still have time to spare before the end, you are able to add additional items (to a maximum of 5 items).
For ideas on how the previous calls went down, please click here and here.

Entering the Call of Chaos
To enter the call, all you need to do is follow the instructions in the main thread: link

Well, those two replies kind of showed what the general "atmosphere" is on this forum

I have already sent a request to an admin and asked but I will not post anything that is not wanted. But I have to say, which I have said before, that I find it a bit strange that no poster nor forum seems to have issues with warriors of Khorne holding up severed, blood dripping heads but the second a warrior of Slaanesh shows a nipple the pictures are banned. Well, that is the modern world for you...

Oh, that's a hated double standard that ticks me off too.

"Don't worry, kids. Blood and guts are just fine, but sex is capitol Eev, 'EVIL!'"

If I'd noticed you were new to the area, I'd have been a little gentler with my reply, so sorry if I scared you off, it's just that this forum (section of the board) is for Sisters of Battle, not Slaaneshi cultists, and just because your Slaaneshi cultists are girls in power armour doesn't mean they fit in one of the two "incorruptible" forums (the other being Grey Knights).

No, I should apologize as well... It is just that I have (at least according to my own opinion) a rather sweet army but all online 40K forums claim that you can't show small metal miniatures if they appear to be wearing latex... Apparently it will corrupt the youths or something like that.

So sorry for coming on as blunt or such, not my intent, I just thought when I read a thread about fallen SoB that my army had found THE place for it to be. Because it IS a standard SoB army, not some chaos cultist band, together with some IG allies. The girls just seem to wear a little less power armour than ususal and it is amazing what kind of alternative miniatures you can find with a little help from google

But as I said, I will NOT post anything that is against rules or the general guidelines of this or any other forum.

About my earlier question, there is no real need to contact any admin. I have been browsing the other threads on this forum and from my own personal point of view, people here on B&C take this hobby waaaaaaaay too serious. Or perhaps not taking the hobby too serious but rather this whole "getting into character" of acting like marines, or in this case SoB. In many threads everything seems to fall apart into name calling and whose interpretation of the fluff and background is more valid rather than debates about tactics, the pros and cons of certain units or builds or perhaps what I long for most of all, battle reports by SoB players, both from beer and pretzel games as well as tournaments. Reports that through the eyes and experiences of another player gives us knowledge and makes us into better players.

I just finished 4:th in a major tournament of 85 players with what I honestly consider a rather "soft" list of SoB with some IG allies and two weeks before that I came 2:nd in a smaller tournament with an even softer list and had thoughts to write up all eight battle reports in order to get a healthy and constructive debate going. With that in mind I needed to make sure that it was okay to show some pictures since, as I said, most of my miniatures are heavily converted and they have a tendency to show a fair bit of skin.

But if the response from a small question is more or less the scene from Monthy Pythons's "Holy Grail" where the entire village is screaming: "She is a witch, burn her!" then I can't really see the point of doing any battle reports. What would the comments and discussion end up like in such a thread? I shudder at the very thought...

The only thing I can suggest is that you're too thin-skinned.

Over-acting (or reacting) and barbed comments are just how people communicate, it's hardly something limited to this forum or board - although since warhammer tends to attract people normally considered 'nerds', who are even less well-socialised than 'normal' people, many of us here are used to treating everyone like they're an arse out to get us. Once you learn to roll with the proverbial punches and give as good as you get, because none of it is really all that serious (unless we're discussion real people, like each other, instead of the game) and mostly it's just people being blunt and/or direct.

No-one's trying to insult you or drive you off. They just don't feel the need to be careful with anyone's feelings because that's too much like hard work for a forum that's meant to be for nerdgasms and chatter.
