PhilOfCalth
So I'm sure I saw somewhere in the rulebook that if a unit is in hand to hand with something they can't damage for whatever reason, they can voluntarily break & fall back. However, looking over the rulebook, I can't see this anywhere. Have I dreamt it up? Thanks in advance! Raeven
I don't have my book immediately handy, but I can confirm you are right. Only fearless units have to stand and die in hand to hand against an opponent they cannot hurt. Raeven
No. Pg 26. Our Weapons are Useless. Can choose to fail the Morale test for losing combat. Be warned, your unit can still be caught up in a sweeping advance when you do this. greatcrusade08
yeah you have to lose combat.. had a funny situation with a dread in combat with a doom of malantai. he had to lose combat to flee, but if he lost combat hed have to take a wound and be squished. strange irony in that situation Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/263918-cant-hurt-it-h-t-h-rule/#findComment-3215205 Share on other sites
maturin
GC08 is right - you need to lose combat to apply the rule. Simply because you don't take the test until you lose combat! If it's a tie, combat simply continues and no test is taken, thus no test to automatically fail.
