MkVIII style power armour tassets

I love the tassets on the MkVIII armour (as seen on this sternguard dude here)

...and I'm wondering if there's anyone anywhere who makes power armour tassets compatible with power armour plastics. I've always thought the thing armour on PA was kind of thin and plain, and the tassets offset this really nicely. I'm not looking to kitbash my own MkVIII armour, I just want the tassets.

I noticed that the DV chaos lord has them as well, whether he's wearing corrupted MkVIII or whether he added those in the eye of terror I have no idea, but I love the look and if possible I'd like to kit as many of my champions and characters out with them as I can.

So, is there a source of these somewhere, or anything that can be kitbashed into them?

Try the Terminator crotch plates on BitzBox. They look like they'd be useful as tassets. There's the same product available here, on letthedicedecide, but it's out of stock atm. Or you could try here instead, at Model Bits.

Hope this helps. :P

Aha, cool, I can get those on a couple of ebay bitz sites. I'm not entirely sure how big they are, though, don't think I've ever actually seen a terminator mini with them on.

Neither the original GW concept sketch nor any of the actual Mk8 minis (of which this isn't - its just a Mk7 guy with a raised neck ring) have those tassets - its an non-standard modification.

Oh? Huh. Didn't know that, I thought the gorget was the hallmark of MkVIII and assumed it was that. What's the difference?

Note the nubs on the inner ankle - that's present on all Mk8 minis, its even on the Mk8 example in the current codex.

All Mk8 should have the armoured box covering their power cables as well. Tho GW themselves got confused with during 5th edition - presumably the art department looked a the models not realising the mini department had gone out of their way to make sure there were no stock suits in the plastic set - Mk7 has the exposed vertical cables in a ||| configuration.

The helmet is also quite distinctive, the models go for something closer to Mk7 but still with the distinctive ear.

Note Forge World has a different idea of Mk8, I prefer to call theirs the 'anti-Mk8' because the basically changed all the bits that should be the same as Mk7 to something else, whilst changing the things that should be different back to Mk7..

Wait what? Forge World doesn't make a MK8 kit?

Uh, the terminator crotch plates are too large

Why don't you just cut plastic card to the exact size and shape? It's such a small and mostly flat surface (lacking any more complex detail), I feel like you could make them easily.

Then again, the Anvil Industry ones are quite cheap - http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?r...;product_id=126
