TheSniperMonkey
Brothers! Here is the test marine for my new force: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8323/8114198400_b559e2887e_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8043/8114191689_00126517f9_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8183/8114201178_f49e6a44bc_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8323/8114202206_7f72168b1f_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8472/8114195177_b39abf8a18_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8189/8114200012_24c6b18902_b.jpg Sorry for the poor picture quality, I only have my 3GS available. So, any coments, tips and criticisms? Really trying to push and improve my painting at the moment and we have some amazing painters so I want to hear it all. Bearing in mind this is an unfinished test model (hence the shoulder pads). -Volsung-
Darken the black outlines around the eye. It will accentuate the gem effect. Otherwise, I like it. Grimnar's Great Company? I like it! :P Oh and shade the gold. A thinned down dark-brown mixed with a little bit of the gold color might work. Try it out! TheSniperMonkey
Would you darken with a black line within the lense or on the rim of the helmet around it? Thanks for the tip with the gold, I have been wondering what to do with that. And yeah, Grimnars company. First model I bought so it seemed only right! Even if I was just painting models then. Olis
I think a slight wash over the bronze-y parts might be in order - just to make the detail pop a bit. Those bits are looking a wee bit flat atm. Perhaps even a very slight highlight, too, would help. Nothing too blatant, just a small touch. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264020-new-colour-scheme-test-marine/#findComment-3222125 Share on other sites
