Razblood
Hi there, I had 15 mins to kill so I thought I might as well do this tutorial for my quick method of doing skin on faces. So I have spent the past 15 minutes painting and taking pics (crappy pics :P ) and I now present the results here. I did have help from a hairdryer ;) Things you will need: Brushes (obviously :P ) The head/face you want to paint. Tallarn Flesh (or equivalent) Dheneb Stone (or equivalent) Army Painter Soft Tone (though Gryphonne/Seraphim Sepia should do the job) Step One: Undercoat Your Head/Face I used Black Gesso, It doesn't obscure the detail. Use what ever primer you prefer. Step Two: Basecoat your Head/Face Two coats of Tallarn Flesh (mixed with approx 50% water), just make sure its a smooth coat. Step Three: Lighten up Paint all the raised areas (chin, lips upper & lower, cheekbones, jawline, nose and forehead) with Deneb Stone....straight from the pot! But make sure your brush is damp (I lick mine  ) Step Four: The Hardest Part... Paint the whole Face/Head with your Sepia/Soft Tone Wash, one or two coats will do. And thats it ;) Try it out, change the wash to achieve different effects, change the basecoat to brown and the highlight to ochre/fleshtone and use a darker wash (Devlan/Strong Tone) for darker skin.
