Sorry it took so l;ong. Been very busy at work

Some of these might be obvious, but I thought I would ask them anyway

Questions for the FAQ

General

When a model may swap either/or for one of the following what can they swap?

Only one weapon

Both weapons

Both weapons but may only take each option once

Rite of war: Orbital assault

Must the units start in their transport?

Example 1 all tactical squads select drop pods but deploy on the ground

Example 2 rapier team needs a storm eagle to de permitted, must they start in the storm eagle?

Moritat

Can he swap his second bolt pistol (linked to first question)

Legion command squad

The terminator entry seems to be a copy and paste from the terminator entry.

Which model can take sergeant wargear?

What options does the legion standard bearer have?

Legion veterans

If you choose the sniper upgrade, must the models use the sniper special rule? Ie when firing a heavy or special weapon.

Legion destroyer

In a 10 man squad you can swap out 2 pistols, can they be on the same model?

Legion tactical squad

If the sergeant is armed with a combi bolter can he use fury of the legion?

Is the limit on only swapping out his bolter intentional?

Legion outrider squad

Must all bikers swap their twin linked bolters for the same weapon and is it an all or nothng upgrade?

Legion heavy weapon squad

Can the sergeant only take upgrades if the squad don’t swap out their heavy bolters (squad weapons are all or nothing, sergeant weapons swap for heavy bolter)

Cerberus heavy tank destroyer – feedback

Does feedback happen for every failed penetration or just once per shooting phase?

Quad heavy bolter.

Quad las cannon has double shots and twin linked, quad heavy bolter has 33% extra shots and twin linked. Is this a typo?

Couple of things I have, that someone else might be able to answer if I'm just being a little unobservant:

Legion Apothecary: Should they have the Legion Astartes Special Rule?

Legion Breacher Siege Squad: Where is the explanation of the Veteran Upgrade Special Rule?

Librarian Question: It's stated that they must replace their Chainsword or Combat Blade with a Force Weapon. What happens if they've been upgraded to a Terminator and have neither of these anymore? Should there be a points reduction in replacing the Power Weapon with the Force Weapon, or is it simply not allowed?

Thanks.

Legion Champion:

Can re-roll failed attempts at Heroic Intervention. Ok, where is this rule explained ? It doesn't say if he gives the rule to the unit he joins and/or he has any limitations to it...

Thanks for the help.

I wondered if this should have been Glorious Intervention (page 65 of the small rulebook) and the typo came about due to Heroic Intervention existing in certain other Codeci.

Two new questions

Life eater bomb, should it have an ap value?

Command squad, when they take jump pack etc the rules say they must all be upgraded identically. Does this only apply o taking jump pack/bike/jetbike/terminator armour, or all upgrades?

It's a weapon of mass destruction, so I doubt it needs statting at all, let alone be given an AP value. :jaw:

It has stats

Wrecks vehicles on a 5+, 4+ for open topped, and wounds infantry on a 2+. Yet it appears that armour saves are allowed.

Though if they weren't then 5/6 of the battlefield will be scoured of life by a random event. Kind of a boring game

Oh. Okay. How about AP4, then?

The Drop Pod rules say that a unit that selects them have to deploy in their drop pod so that's already answered in the book.

The real question with Orbital Assault is do you have to Deep Strike the units or do they just need to have access to the rule? So do my Storm Eagles, Dreadclaws and Caestus rams have to arrive via Deep Strike or can they zoom on in turn 2 of the game.

I have a question on the chart on pg 185: Allies in the Age of Darkness.

Sons of Horus (on the horizontal) have Sworn Brothers: EC, BA, DG, WB, Mech and Imperial Army.

Vertically they have the following Battle Brothers: EC, WS, DG, WB, Mech and the Army.

World Eaters, Ultra Marines also have horizontal vs. vertical differences, interestingly also on Blood Angels, White Scars.

Death Guard and the Army also have vertical/horizontal differences.
