Trevak Dal
Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody had converted a Contemptor drednought out of a standard Plastic drednought? The inability to mark our hellbrutes (new chaos Drednought) has really just frustrated me, and I want to make it into a contemptor but they are noticeably bigger than 'normal' dreds. ShinyRhino
Honestly, it really can't be done. The Contemptor stands a full 30-40% taller than a standard Dread. The closest I've seen is putting the standard Dread on the new, posable Sentinel legs, but it looks...stupid. Urauloth
Yeah unless you want to sculpt the legs yourself I really don't think you can do this. The contemptor is completely different. EPK
Poppy-cock. Where there is a will there is away.I've seen people convert the legs if that is the major issue - take this for instance. Or even this. It doesn't have to be that high of course, you really only need to come up with the addition of a knee joint. I know you said standard Dread, but if your base is a venerable dread you'll at least have a little more of that barrel shaped chest area as well. Heck, even if you just build up the base to get it to the proper Contemptor height, I'm sure you opponent would be okay with it. EDIT - AH HA! That conversion to a Venerable dread model will look a lot closer to a Contemptor in my opinion. If you have to stick with the standard dread, you can still get that venerable look by following this. It's certainly not a perfect Contemptor copy - but at least it will be a step in the right direction. Brother Ambroz
There's an amazing nurgle dreadnought with sentinel legs here that could easily be used as a contemptor.
