War Angel
Just to be clear I'm not talking about the sternguard weapons box, Im looking for the bolters with the large ammo box. I'm sure I could make them myself but then I would need to find the parts and take the time, it would just be easyer to find it online. So does anyone know where one might find such items? Olis
I recommend Zinge Industries if you fancy knocking up your own sternguard bolters. They have an ammo box/ammo drum section that might prove fuitful. :) Failing that, there's Umbra Ferrox bolter from FW and several bitz sites out there.Failing that, you'll have to nick storm bolter box magazines and give them to regular bolters. fivepointedstar
Umbra Ferrrox bolters these work good since they have the drum mag, and the optics. or if you want metal one. Deathwatch kit from GW work too, and give you shoulder pads to add in xenos hunters into your army. I personally use the DW one, since I bought them years ago, and they work fine. I use the Storm bolter mag's from tank sprue that i'm not using to add flair to the rifle's. I didn't think of the old DW bolters. Nice call. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264271-sternguard-bolters/#findComment-3219899 Share on other sites
I_Heart_69
I use the ammo boxes from Grey Knight storm bolters. You can get them cheap from bits websites and they work very well. Just cut off the little nubbin that normally slots into the storm bolter. The others are using phobos bolters and extra pouches to represent "special ammo". Evicerator
Termy HFs are my preferred choice. Least amount of work (once you know how to do it.) and gives the best look (imho) without the gun looking too weak or too huge. (the new Sterny weapon box HF looks LAME small) http://evicerator.com/evicerator/pictures/warhammer/powerarmourheavyflamers.jpg (how to make) http://evicerator.com/evicerator/pictures/warhammer/terminatorheavyflamerconversion01.jpg http://evicerator.com/evicerator/pictures/warhammer/terminatorheavyflamerconversion02.jpg http://evicerator.com/evicerator/pictures/warhammer/terminatorheavyflamerconversion03.jpg http://evicerator.com/evicerator/pictures/warhammer/terminatorheavyflamerconversion04.jpg http://evicerator.com/evicerator/pictures/warhammer/terminatorheavyflamerconversion05.jpg I've written several tutorials in different places about this conversion. old git
I've heard good things about Anvil Industries; http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?r...h=60&page=3 Scroll down the page, there's a box mag and a drum mag that are quite obviously meant to fit on a bolter. Monstra Sumus
Figured I'd ask here rather than making a new topic as it concerns Sternguard bolters. I need to get my paws on 6 combimeltas. Does any one of you lovely people know where I can get some? I'd rather not have to pay for six single melta's to convert but will if I can't get my mits on the SG CM's. Thanks, BT Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264271-sternguard-bolters/#findComment-3266705 Share on other sites
