Wraithwing
Ok, here's one for you older members. I've recently won an eBay auctions for an unopened can of Dark Angels green spray, which is no longer in production. Now, it's been a good few years since I last used this stuff. When I last used it, I've primed black, then sprayed DA green over the top. My question is, can I use the Dark Angels Green spray as a primer over plastic? Will it cover ok? Cheers, WW Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264365-dark-angels-green-spray-question/ Share on other sites
Razblood
Yeah, but it won't have the auto shading that a black primer beneath would provide. Other than that it should cover pretty well, but that must be a seriously old can so you may need to shake it for an hour or two first :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264365-dark-angels-green-spray-question/#findComment-3221057 Share on other sites
Thunder_god
My one go with a friends can of that spray back in college has me remembering that it was kind of translucent on bare plastic & metal...do a test piece first before you commit precious resources on a major project. Artemid
I used it for quite a while. It worked pretty well, though I ended up repainting the green anyway because the spray's green is tinted more like Calibanite green - just has more gray/is less vibrant. I'm happy with the colour, as I've used it extensively in the past, I was just wondering about its coverage over bare plastic, and using it as a primer. I think I'll prime black as usual and use the DA green spray over the top. Thinks for the feedback folks. Ages ago I used the spray directly on bare plastic and was not too happy with the result, so after coloring my second edition starter set Marines that way I switched to priming black and not using the Spray anymore.
