Urauloth
Wanting to add some gender diversity to some of my cultist squads, wondering where to start. I guess this is very similar to the whole guardswomen thing that comes up every so often (I'd like some traitor guard allies as well as cultists at some pint so I'd be on the lookut for those too) but there never seems to be much of a satisfying answer to those, and cultists are a slightly different thing, so I figure it's worth a topic. Some of my cultists will be made from empire flagellants, and I'm not looking for female ones of those, but for bulking out the DV cultists and the FW renegade militia I have, it'd be nice to have some options. What I'm looking for, then, are: - Kitbashing ideas using existing kits (unlikely to be fruitful since GW makes so few female minis) - Third party heads and possibly torsos that can be bashed together with either plastic IG or DV cultists I'd be interested to see any whole third-party models that might do the trick too, but since I'll be almost exclusively gaming in my local store, my stuff needs to be majority-GW. I'm also not running a slaaneshi warband, so I don't want any magic strippers or whatever. I'm looking to diversify out of interest, not for titilation. So, any ideas? KhorneHunter57x
Did you take a look at the House Escher gangers from Necromunda? They might be what you are looking for. Durus
Hasslefree do some of the best (female) minis I've seen. There are also a lot of other ranges, depending on what you are after. Here are some from the top of my head Reaper Fenryll Foundry Copplestone em4Miniatures +edit+ Just wanted to add that, depending on the manufacturer, scale and quality might vary. Also, don't forget systems like Infinity or Urban War. Might find some good stuff there as well. Ah,well you get the idea, just search for 28-32mm miniatures. If it has to be GW I'd look at the woodelf/dark eldar miniatures for conversion parts. Naminé
A word of warning against Infinity models; while the scale is the same, the actual proportions are very different to GW, and they would look really out of place in an army. I would recommend a search around reaper miniatures, they tend to make good female models. I just recently got a female Infinity model and I can confirm this. While the scale is pretty much the same, the proportions are a world apart. GW stuff is extremely bulky compared to Infinity models. Victoria Lamb, the person behind Victoria Miniatures, did say that she was planning on releasing some female torsos that would be compatible with IG kits (like all of her current range of bits), but the date is unknown (which is understandable due to the small suize of the buisness). Hopefully they should be released within the next few months ;) Good luck in your search. Urauloth
That's very exciting news - I've already been looking at some of Victoria's torsos and gas masks for my traitor guard, the quality of her minis looks to be top-notch. I'll keep an eye out for news. Did you take a look at the House Escher gangers from Necromunda? They might be what you are looking for. Oh my god, no, I honestly didn't. I can't believe I forgot these! Cheers for the reminder, they really do look ideal.
