irwit
Hi all Been doing some casts using onymaru and greenstuff however the time it takes for green stuff to cure is annoying me. I found the blu stuff which obviously cures much quicker but it seems people are only using it for creating the cast and not the final version, is there any reason for this or would it be good to make the casts from instead of the greenstuff? RebG
Go and watch the tutorial videos for it at master of the forge here: http://masteroftheforge.com/ Depending on which type you've been looking at you'll see they're both relatively soft once cured. The liquid one is especially rubbery (I think they're silicone based, bit of a guess though) so not too suitable for casting model parts, also not sire if/how it'd glue. Any specific questions about it speak to Lamenter (he's on here and runs the MotF site), he has a lot of experience using it to cast and press mold all sorts of bits. The epoxies will polymerize faster the warmer they are. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/264784-blu-stuff/#findComment-3233553 Share on other sites
