BlacKnight
If you attach an Independent Character in power armor to a terminator squad can they Deep Strike as well? No, not unless they have terminator armor as well. The Wolfmeister
See, that's what I thought as well, but it was brought to my attention that in sixth ICs get whatever rules the unit they've joined has. Leonaides
No, they don't. They do count as part of the unit, but they don't necessarily get all the rules. Imagine a power armour IC joining a jump pack unit- he doesn't suddenly gain a free jump pack. Morollan
After extensive searching through the complex rules surrounding this issue (ie, looking at the first sentence of the Deep Strike rules) I have come to the conclusion that the answer to the OP's question is no. In order for a unit to be able to Deep Strike, all models in the unit must have the Deep strike special rule and the unit must start the game in reserve Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265037-quick-question-about-teleporting-with-terminators/#findComment-3229826 Share on other sites

I didn't have access to my BRB at the time, otherwise I would've just looked it up. Too curious to wait, though, lol. jeffersonian000
It is still possible for an unit of TDA to deep strike with an attached jump pack equipped IC, which goes against the whole "Teleport" thing, but is still legal as all the models in question have the deep strike rule.
