DA Successor Paint Scheme

Ordo Machinum

Recommended Posts

The working title for my DIY successor chapter is The Archangels.

I'm trying to decide on a paint scheme and would appreciate your opinions.

I would like to keep gold as the base color, not sure if its overused among chapters. The aquila is silver.

I've tried mixing red in the armor and robes and it startes looking like Iron Man meets Christmas:

Maybe if I was going to call them The Avengers it would be okay.

Using silver as a base is too Guardian of the Covenant.

I figured gold, even with green robes, is a different stand-out enough color for a DA successor.

Please, let me know what you think?

I think for a DA successor a darker bronze armor would suit their character better than bright gold. I'm thinking dark bronze with bone aquilas and black robes and maybe some DA green for some of the details would look pretty sweet. Just an opinion of course.

Sorry for the multiple posts, "smart" phone issues.

I like the new one.. I liked the old ones too, but this feels more "DA". And despite all claims, the colors can't match real paint. I'm pretty sure it'll be much brighter than that, atleast on highlight areas where light catches, since acrylic paint has a a sheen to it, with metallics even more so.

My concern would be them coming out looking too similar to Minotaurs, but I guess accessories, iconography and spot colors will help with that.
