Cultist pistols?

Hey I am planning to add 50 cultists to my chaos army I am planning on using empire flagellants but need to find suitable pistols was going to use las pistols but getting 50 plus might be an issue plus I was looking pistols which would look they have been looted or stolen from whatever they could find I was thinking of the pistols from the empire pistoleer kit or even the wych pistols for a more exotic look, what are your thoughts and know any good bits or conversion kits

Sounds weird but I just don't like the look of the las pistols plus finding some without buying a few IG kits is annoying most of the bits sites I have tried have none in stock

dark eldar and wfb pistols sound nice to mix it up a bit.

 

if you can find a few old auto/las pistols fro 2nd edition close combat sprues that'd add a bit of variation

 

there are a selection of 3rd party bits sellers that have pistols etc that would suit too.

Plastic Necromunda arms. If you can get a bunch of those off of ebay, you're quids in. Considering the cultists are pseudo-Necromunda models anyway, I think this option is very appealing if you can find some. :D

If you know some guys who play necromunda you should ask them if they have some left over weapons. The now OOP newer gangs used to come with seperate head and weapon sprues. Shotguns, Autoguns, Lasguns etc. not sure if there were a lot of pistols though. If you know a hobby veteran you could ask if they still have some of the old plastic weapon sprues around. Those had autopistols.

 

This might be another option. From what I gather these are probably about as big as a boltpistol though.

Two cheap and easy ways: convert spare bolt pistols by cutting off magazines; make receiver by fashioning rectangular block from sprue plastic, then attach short plastic tubing for barrel.

Holstered pistols work too. Those bits are usually pretty cheap on ebay.
