Brother Cambrius
This demands more of the forum's attention. I very much agree Darth Potato, as this is outstanding work, especially on the conversion/kitbash front! Sgt. Valdaar looks fantastic! I think the Devastator backpack'd look fantastic on him, or perhaps the Apothecary one perhaps, getting rid of the Apothecary symbols on it. A common backpack just doesn't seem right on him. Keep it up Kronus! Can't wait to see more, especially the Captain model you had in the first post! Kronus Stormbringer
Thanks for the praise Brothers! Really helps to come back to the hobby after so long away to get some positive feed back on my efforts. I have to say that switching to Windsor & Newton brushes instead of the Citadel ones has really helped me with the finer detailing. For the Decals I simply bought a laser printer off ebay for £20 then designed the icons i wanted and printed them on to clear decal paper be fore applying using Micro Sol & Set. Oceangrave
And here I was, about to ask you how you did the logos on the shoulders for them :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265493-sons-of-medusa/page/2/#findComment-3248752 Share on other sites

Kronus Stormbringer
I think its well worth using the decal paper Ammonius mate, using the Micro Sol/set etc really helps to blend the transfer in with your miniature, I used 4 - 5 coats of the Micro Sol on the decal after it had been set in place to really blend it into the contour of the shoulders. It took me a good few hours to design the icons I wanted and get them at the right size as I wanted something a little different to the ones on here but once I get the full squads completed each mini should have alot of inscriptions and icons on their armour to make them stand out. Im even thinking of doing some as tattoo's on the marine faces :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265493-sons-of-medusa/page/2/#findComment-3248774 Share on other sites
Mr Yellow
Looking good, surprised more people haven't commented on this, those decals look really good. Thought they didn't look like decals but thought they were too good to be done by hand (I would have been too jealous). Cheers LM Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265493-sons-of-medusa/page/2/#findComment-3248825 Share on other sites
Kronus Stormbringer
Quick update of whats on my desk at the moment, i wasnt happy with the look of the devastator back pack on Sgt. Valdaar so i have some mk III communication backpacks on the way and i'll post pics when complete. In the mean time i'll get on with Sgt. Malkaas who will command my first Tactical squad as well as the rest of my devastator marines and the start of my dreadnought. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/kroweuk/IMG_0981.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/kroweuk/IMG_0982.jpg http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h200/kroweuk/IMG_0983.jpg As usual critique welcomed Kro Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265493-sons-of-medusa/page/2/#findComment-3251193 Share on other sites

Biohazard
These are fantastic, for the tabard I'd go with white. Although you could always do white on the front and red on the back. Or a white pattern/symbol on a red tabard or vice versa. I've not really been much help have I ha!? Bannus
The Sons of Medusa don't have the easiest paint scheme, but you seem to have it down to a fine art - keep up the good work!
