Martok
http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_cont...1_WOLF_ICON.png This army has been used in tournaments for about 2 years now in various different shapes and forms. The painting effort has continued over time as has the modelling. These Thunder Wolves are one of the worst culprits having been rebuilt in different ways twice now and the paint job has suffered for it but I am happy with where they are and I am glad to say they are all finished. First up we have my Thunder Wolf Lord the Headtaker: http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/HeadtakerFront.jpg http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/HeadtakerLeft.jpg http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/HeadtakerBack.jpg http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/HeadtakerRight.jpg I had real fun building this guy and he uses a vast array of bits from various kits. The cloak and Frost Blade were my first attempts at blending and I was very pleased with the effect on both. Next up is a Wolf Guard Battle Leader on Thunder Wolf with a Thunder Hammer. This guy acts as the Lieutenant of the army and forms the other half of a one, two punch: http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/WolfGuardBattleLeaderFront.jpg http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/WolfGuardBattleLeaderLeft.jpg http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/WolfGuardBattleLeaderBack.jpg http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/WolfGuardBattleLeaderRight.jpg He uses a couple of Maxmini parts such as the Hammer and Bionics. I think he might get some bling added at some point though but not before the Tournament on Saturday. http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u649/Bloody-Dice/Space%20Wolves/Thunderwolves.jpg Finally the actual Squad of Thunder Wolves who will be cleaning up for the Thunder HQs. These guys are carrying Storm Shields and I really should model some Melta bombs on them just always hate having to stick those ugly bits on... Let me know what you think guys
DrMidas
These are lovely. I love the conversions you've done, particularly the chain "reins". The frost blade is gorgeous. Two things to consider- the large red areas on the mounts are a little flat, especially compared to the nice highlights you have on the marine armor. Try a Wild Rider Red or Blazing Orange highlight in a few spots, give it more depth. The loyalist backpacks are a little jarring. everything else is so baroque and chaotic, seeing the templar symbol and the loyal backpack startled me. Just my $.02, hope it's useful. You make some very good points and if I were to start these guys again I would definitely do things differently. I shall see what I can do about finding some more heretical parts for them :(
EgoDraconumNigrorum
Very striking, I like it! To give it that extra wolf feel, it would be really cool if you added fur and a ruff on the Juggernauts! - EgoDraconumNigrorum

On the next set I will probably add in some green stuff but I cannot bring myself to adding any more to these guys and having to start painting them again lol too many other projects to let these guys distract me any further :P
