spu00sed
Looking though the rules it seems to imply that assault marines can board transports, counting as two models each. This means a spartan can carry a squad of ten and two characters. Since they can't move more than 6" when they disembark they eat to hammer of wrath. A ten man assault squad can deploy two power weapons Giving 10 hammer of wrath attacks 24 S4 attacks 7 S4 AP3 attacks And some bolt pistols Upping the carnage you can go for a destroyer squad Giving 2 fleshbane AP3 3" blasts 1 S5 poison 3+ AP2 3" blast 14 bolt pistols Followed by 10 HoW attacks 27 S4 attacks against T minus 1 4 S4 AP3 attacks against T minus 1 Though the destroyer option does cost 690pts without spartan upgrades Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265902-spartans-and-assault-squads/ Share on other sites

spu00sed
Damn it! I checked under Bulky Jump infantry Assault transport I forgot to check the transport rule Why wasn't such a cravat stated under jump Infantry, it is a rule that covers all of them Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265902-spartans-and-assault-squads/#findComment-3239225 Share on other sites
Count the7
how ever you can put a 20man tactical squad in a spartan, give them close combat weapons for 2pts each or replace the bolt guns for free. war gear for the sgt. Add an apothacery with a power weapon to get the feel no pain and you still have room to attach any more independant models to the unit Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265902-spartans-and-assault-squads/#findComment-3239341 Share on other sites
Jim AMM realgenius
I agree -- a 20 man Tac squad would be great when combined with a few HQs and an Apothecary. Maybe Librarian, Chaplain or Champion, Praetor? helosv
Hello, why don't you put 10 TDA + 2 heavy weapons + 1 HQ TDA ? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/265902-spartans-and-assault-squads/#findComment-3239900 Share on other sites
