winterdyne
No idea. Ice yellow looks quite similar to the new 'edge' yellow paint they've put out. The VMC ones layer up really nicely though, worth getting those.
Urauloth
Gorgeous minis. Love the battle damage, especially on the helms. That subtle OSL from the eye lenses is fantastic. This is something of an odd question, maybe, but how did you paint the bases? It looks like you went with a fairly straightforward drybrush, but I can't figure out what colours you used. It's a really nice earth colour.
winterdyne
I tend to use cheaper art acrylics for basing and small terrain pieces. It's burnt umber highlighted with Naples yellow and titanium white in various mixes. Codex grey, fortress grey and VMC ivory are in there too. Bat33.1
Nice work once again Winterdyne - saw the Warhound @ GD this year too ;) Another basing Q here, do you use washes on the leaves/seeds to tint them?
Bat33.1
Stupid slow internet double post - sorry
winterdyne
Sometimes, depends. Usually a hit of sepia does the trick, but it depends on what it was to start with; the birch seed dividers I use are in a range of colours.
SickSix
Please don't take your work/skill for granted. I would be very proud to own those minis. My 'table top' paint job isn't even in the same ballpark as those!

I take it the grey is for the stone and the others are the actual earth colour?
winterdyne
Yeah, but I almost always base coat stone surfaces (roughly) with whatever 'dark earth' shade I'm using. Keeps things in harmony.
Urauloth
That's a useful tip, I'll have to try that.
