I really need help with a decent list at 1500,

if you could find the time to pop into the lists section here on the fang, ive got a threrad running that is called " list help required"

in that you will find a list of what i have to work with,

I really need you guys to help as our beloved chapter, have become a laughing stock at my club

How is it that our great chapter has fallen to ridicule? What armies do you face regularly, as that will have a lot to do with unit selection and loadout?

I find that SW really shine when they work as a pack. (Go figure) Nothing short of a deathstar unit should be off on it's own unsupported, and even then, you should have backup. I have never thought, "Oh, I took to many Grey Hunters." With the ratio of objective missions going from 2:3 to 5:6, scoring units are the best thing points can buy, and our troops are some of the best in the game. (Grey Hunters that is) They are lean and mean and I find that them not having a heavy weapon is a good thing, although not as much in 6th, I never have to wonder if I should move or shoot.

As I am sure you have read, Rune Priests, Grey Hunters, and Long Fangs are the core of our codex and for good reason. They are cheap (for MEQ) , they have good loadout options, and they are really good at what they do.

My standard 1500 point army (usually vs IG, Tau, CSM) consists of

Rune Priest in TDA (w/LF)

Rune Sword

Chooser of the Slain

Living Lightning, Storm Caller

Rune Priest in TDA (w/GH)

Rune Axe

Meltabombs

Jaws of the World Wolf, Murderous Hurricane (or divination)

Grey Hunters x 10

Flamer and Meltagun

Wolf Standard

Mark of the Wulfen

x2

Grey Hunters x 10

Meltagun x 2

Wolf Standard

Power Fist

Long Fangs x 6

Missile Launcher x 5

x2

Vindicator

Siege Shield

Wolf Guard x 5

Power sword (w/GH)

Power Sword (w/GH)

Combi-melta, Power Fist (w/GH)

TDA (w/LF)

TDA, Cyclone Missile Launcher (w/LF non RP)

That gives you 250 points to flex with, which for me is usually TWC, more GH and a WG, landspeeders, or Wolf Scouts (snipers)

Never really invest in transports as they get popped first turn, (Tau and IG) drop pods dont seem to work as well for SW as other SM codexes, but if you go all Drop Pods, it can be really fun and freeform.

My group is ok with not having exact models, so it allows me more wiggle room for lists.
