Hats off to you for having the patience to behead a pewter model. I had tried to remove a bolt bolter from a metal wrist and abandoned the attempt. Anyways he looks great.

Love all the small details you added him. My only remark is that the DA symbol on the tabard is a little bit big. You might have been better off using the ones from the power maul, but then again thats just me.

Thanks, I drilled it out first, then cut out the surrounding metal. GW then they went and re-released in finecast!

I was going to remove the original chest ornament and mould robes over the chest. However I couldn't get it right and needed a cover up, hence the slightly large icon.

I think your greenwing looks excellent Dark_Master -- nice and dark. What are your intentions for the bases?

Cheers

I

Thank you, in the past I have turned out salamanders by going too light

I will probably just sand/flock them, as I don't like distracting away from the model with the monstrosities I end up with when I try to do custom bases, that or black.

Hello all,

Real life and pneumonia have put me in a back track.

Anyway, for my redemption task. DW standard bearer

Nice looking tactical squad you've got there. Shame to hear about your illness, but I'm sure you'll be back to full health in no time. I have to complete a special task this month as well, so I'm looking forward to seeing your standard bearer as well.

Dark_Master, your models so far are great! I really love your work on the Belial figure, it looks awesome and has a presence to it that the new one shown done by GW just doesn't have, so you've done a fantastic job with your piece.

I really like the Mortis Dread, the only detractor for me are the "nipple ring" armor plates on either side of the sarcophagus. Those plates just always looked silly to me, but you've fixed them up a little with the icons. Overall great model though. As Master Isiah said, enemy armor beware that guy hitting the battlefield!

Your Tact squad is very nice, again, I'm not a fan of the red bolter casings, but you did make them look nice. Not really keen on the lower blue banding on the sergeant's tabard... What's the deal with that? Other than that, the squad looks great and should be very fun to play against on the table-top.

I do really enjoy your Interrogator-Chaplain, it's an awesome sculpt and you've worked the details out extremely well. Your gems look a tad flat comparatively, but that's a minor thing on an otherwise fantastic paint job. I like your stark white take on the Deathwing white, it stands out a great deal and gives good contrast to the bone skull style helm. Commendations also for the combi-melta, very nice paint work, but it appears like there's some rough glue going on there. I really like the barrel coloration though and kudos for the bravery on swapping that weapon. Keep it up, look forward to seeing more!

Love the Int-Chap in TDA! The gun is sooooo much easier to cut with it being Finecast isn't it? My TDA Int-Chap has his magnetized so I can eventually do combi-weapon swaps.

That blue on the Sergeant's tabard, is that to show path of Higher Mysteries? Like said about in the HH books DoA & FA? Or was it just a random choice color for the line on the tabard?

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments.

I was disappointed with the 'official' Belial, glad a finally finished my own.

The combi melta is a conversion, unfortunately the glue lines have been brought out by painting, weren't as visable post modelling/ undercoat. But I'll live with it.

Jewels have always been a weak poing of mine, will keep trying.

BTW, the model is a old pewter one I have been waiting to do, so the gun replacement was not easy!

Excellent work! :tu: Unless the new 'official' Belial model looks better in person I may have to borrow your idea for the Master of the Deathwing. I'm sure I've got a couple of those old terminator captain models around somewhere.

The interrogator chaplain looks ace as well. Particularly like the combi-melta conversion, it works really well on the terminator model.
