Bongfu
The Desecrators Unknown Desecrators Marine [img; background-image:url(http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/hq2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 8px 2px; padding: 12px 8px 12px 8px; border: 1px solid #DDD; margin-left: 0 auto; text-align: left; color: #fff; text-indent:50px; font-size:130%; width:50%;">http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1559/csms.jpg[/img] Date:...............13452.M39Ref:................LBC//IDA.9837By:.................Inquisitor Diego Astorga, Ordo HereticusRe:.................Astartes Traitoris DesecratorsThought:............Fall from the Emperor's LightI have sent several request to Segmentum command in this regard. All have been turned down, save one. The savage might of a full company of the Space Wolves is in route as we speak. My only hope is that I can remain undetected in the system long enough for me to see judgement. http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/hq2.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 8px 2px; padding: 12px 8px 12px 8px; border: 1px solid #DDD; margin-left: 0 auto; text-align: left; color: #fff; text-indent:50px; font-size:130%; width:50%;">Organization From what I have gathered the Desecrators seem to operate under various Corsair Lords. Each one commands a world, outpost, or fleet in which they operate from. I have heard rumors of a central leadership, but it is very secretive and eludes even my eyes. From all indications, it seems to be a council of the Corsair Lords. However, if there is a figure head, I am unsure. Each Corsair Lord has an ad-hoc company in which he draws his strength from. Depending on his deeds and prowess, a lord might have a small score of marines up to hundreds. Even the corrupted Sisters, who now call themselves the Ordo Salvation, have contributed forces to aid the Desecrators in battle. Each company is also bolstered by scores of turned Imperial Guard, whether by choice or by conscription. Homeworld The Flame Falcons held stewardship over the world of Lethe, however, it was sanctioned following their supposed destruction by the Ordo Malleus. Now their main stronghold is the small Thrantoss system. The system has four worlds, two of which are terrestrial.Thrantoss I is a hot and near inhospitable world that has been used as a penal colony for centuries by the Imperium. Now rumors are, it is a mining colony for thousands of slaves taken by the Traitors. Thrantoss II is a gas giant made up of mostly the noble gases, making it an ideal place for harvesting efforts. Thrantoss III is a cracked and cratered dead world. Once it was used as a weapon's testing site by the Adeptus Mechanicus which ultimately cost the world it's life. Thrantoss IV is a shrine world built before the Age of Apostasy. It has the largest population in the system and even some small manufacturing capabilities once used to supply the Adeptus Sororitas. Combat Doctrine The Desecrators favor deception and subterfuge to direct combat. They are masters of the raid and infiltration. They are also extremely effective in boarding actions. Their main weakness seems to be a lack of advanced and heavy weapons, probably due to the fact that their old Fortress Monastery was destroyed before they couldevacuate much of the equipment. What they have in terms of firepower is mostly from the traitor guardsmen regiments they have salvaged. Leman Russ chassis, ordnance batteries, and heavy weapon teams are a common sight when they need to bear some teeth. They tend to rely on the effectiveness and reliability of melta weapons as well as a high number of flame weapons. They have been reported to use assault marines to some good effectiveness, hinting at their martial skill in close combat. Geneseed Addendum Since your time in reading this, you have no doubt heard that the Space Wolves have arrived in system and have begun operations to bring Thrantoss back into the fold of the Imperium. The Wolf Lord Bran Redmaw has assured me that victory will be swift. As stated before, the original geneseed of the Flame Falcons had a mutation that caused them to immolate in battle. I have heard rumors that the upper echelon of the Desecrators still bear this defect, however, the influx of new geneseed into their mix has made sightings more rare. Wulfebane
Aside from some grammar issues, the story has a nice flow and covers all the points that I would want to see in an IA, though a bit slim on actual text to my mind. One thing to point out is that... bugs were squashed this day. Bongfu
Do the old templates and the new website have some bugs? Octavulg
Short answer: yes. Long answer: hell yes. You don't have sidebars or anything, so it shouldn't actually screw up too badly for you. Make a backup of the text and all should be well. Messor
What Octavulg said. The board is largely back to normal, but yes, the upgrade has changed the editor quite a bit. Early on in the upgrade, there were several occasions that posts were lost/damaged, so as suggested, do make a backup or two of your work before editing. For the most part, though, the editor should actually be much improved. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the features. Note that in order to insert bbcode items, you'll need to click the little lightswitch button in the upper left of the editor next to the eraser. There won't be any bbcode buttons, though, so you'll need to manually enter the code.
