Lepaca
I'm playing with the idea of using chaos-y apothecaries as Icon of Excess stand ins. (Just think of them as drug dispensers!) Now obviously I don't want to buy lots of Space Marine Command Squads just to get enough parts to build them! So I'm asking you: Is there a way to build apothecaries myself? Excessus
An obvious part would be fabulous bill's backpack. Also, many GK players would have apotechary backpack and arm parts to spare... I like the idea, make sure you post pics of it! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/266520-chaos-apothecaries/#findComment-3246228 Share on other sites
Sinners Red
There are several bits websites where you can buy the Narthecium and back pack for about 10 buck US here and here. But that too can be costly. The Chirugeon pack is also pretty cool. Hmmmmmmm. You could just GS a guy with some needles and stuff on his arm or other places on his armor. Kol Saresk
Wasn't that Nurgle Chaos Space Marine from Forgeworld supposed to be an Apothecary? Maybe get him and Chirugeon pack and either keep the spares, sell them or use them. Rune Priest Ridcully
That's what I'm planning if I get a squad of noise marines, there "icon of excess" will be a junior thousand sons apothacary, who uses his powers to boost his speed to that of the noise marines, and I'm going to use the apothecary arm. Warsmith Aznable
I'm building Chaos Apothecaries to represent the Icon of Excess as well. I already have one Chaos Apothecary though, a Plague Champion I made a while back using a Dark Angels hooded head, an Apothecary torso and arms, Berserker legs, and Fabius Bile's backpack: EDIT: if you go the Fabius Bile backpack route, you'll need to weight the base down. I've got a nickel glued under this base, and he still likes to fall over once or twice a game. KaosRaptor
I used this tutorial I found over on Heresy Online when I made my (admittedly loyalist) Apothecary: http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/showthread.php?t=69370 Very handy if you have those spare parts lying around :teehee: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/266520-chaos-apothecaries/#findComment-3246555 Share on other sites

KaosRaptor
Wow that tutorial rocks! Glad I could help! Must stress that I didn't come up with it though, obviously haha. Add some cables/dispensers to the backpack, choose an appropriate head and you're pretty much good to go!
