Fulminata
So this is my Chaos Warhound Titan Sulphurius. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/Legio%20Vulcanum/SulphuriusLeft.jpg I travelled to Afghanistan in 09 in order to afford him. Took me about 3 months to get up the courage to paint and put together. I am not the worlds greatest modeller or painter, I used several magnets that were either too weak or too powerful and 2 of them glue opposite polarity. But in the end, I was pretty damn proud of the paint job, and during its first outing at Dreamation she was well recieved. Well tonight, my son screams from the basement and I walk in to find it crashed on the floor. I was seeing red (literally and figuratively) so I didn't take a photo, but here is what it look like on the table. http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/922ff312c77b22256ffcd57997f8731a.jpg OUCH, right?!? After a quick scan, only a few parts actually broke, it came apart at the seems (or epoxy lines) so I am very lucky. The few pieces that did break, I am able to glue together and when all is said and done, it should look pretty seamless. Here are some more pictures of what she looks like: http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/9e6d522b68cd3fb0941e7c00357d5192.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/0b1631ac9f02f7483644ff62133ba1d4.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/3660d5766537d6e97eef3a5684efe39c.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/07cc663fdfaf90f039a884b0c36e498d.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/0afc1ee08f15009515abb4ef4d7c97be.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/28b871708f59dd7cde2b443fb4d83bde.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/408c576466bcaedd0fca9916ccd1f221.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/34bff3a9bc713c0a753a0da8f34adbb3.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/f2b1d435bab1106eca16ba93198c1beb.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/5ce057253a7c4c6dd7f1e26c7c90a3fd.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh111/fmcbide4/The%20Fall%20of%20a%20Titan/7f34691c9a67972e58636a64ab33d7b8.jpg This was an accident probably waiting to happen, my son says he feels like $hit, but I already told him in private, but I want to say to him in public, that is was just an accident and not your fault. I am not mad at you, just upset and the situation; but like Astronaut Steve Austin, we can rebuild him, better, stronger, faster. I am going to start by drilling bolts into his feet and fastening him to the base plate. I am going to pin each toe, there was only one not broken prior to his fall. I am going to re-attempt using magnets to hold the arms together, I have a turbo laser arm waiting in the wings. There are also a few other parts I need to finish painting, so I am going to do that before re-construction. I am also going to try to reposition him as well. If anyone has any suggestions to what size bolts, magnets or nuts I should use, I am open to it. Mr.darkness
I have no idea of size or strength of anything, except for the fact that I would recommend multiple small magnets over one big one. It means you can build it up until you have the required strength. Also, definitely paint it before you glue it together, it's make it easier to get under the arms and stuff.
