I took an almost 6+ months hiatus due to exams and now that they're over, it feels glorious to break out the paint bots, dust off the rulebook and codex and play some games. I only painted up about 5 Paladins the last time I posted here and they were only about 90% done. Well, now I've got 2 done and I've started work on the next 5. I'm really happy at how the gold turned out on the other 5 Paladins although I'm not happy that it took almost 4 hours to just paint the gold on 5 models (but it is a lot of gold to paint). I'm painting them on an almost regular basis now so expect more. I will have to get myself some Acolytes and 10 Strikes soon though, after my Paladins as well as model my Draigo. Enjoy! Once I wash it, it won't look like that anymore. I was painting for almost 12 hours today, from 2pm to 2am and here are the fruits of my now vibrating hands and screwed-up eyes. They look real old and used (the wonders of Citadel washes. Useless for many uses but hey, they make painting look decent) and I'm happy how they look as a whole painted. I do think the pictures suck D because the Iphone 4S for some unknown reason can't take a good f******g picture depsite the good camera but alas, these are the results. Res Ipsa Loquitur Posted December 5, 2012 Share Posted December 5, 2012 While I'm by no means a great painter myself, I think the reason the eyes don't look so hot is because they're all one flat colour. I was thinking of ways to have his hand stand out and I was just thinking a rather defined mithril silver highlight. This is waaaaay more work but it might look awesome...
