AnthonyVG
Good morning everyone, I recently decided that the glossy coat I had on some of my troops was looking pretty lame and wanted to give them an updated look. I bought 2 cans of clear (matte) coat, one from valspar (clear sealer FLAT) and testors dullcoat. After testing out both, the look is basically the same which is great for my wallet. I'm most likely going to go with the glossy -> matte method, as described in other posts, but how many layers of matte finish are you using? Here's the before showing the improvement. http://i.imgur.com/6tJUR.jpg?1 Before (glossy) http://i.imgur.com/tVpxq.jpg?1 After (matte) I'm worried that two coats of sealer isn't going to be enough, but I also don't want to apply anymore out of fear of messing up. I've read the stories of dullcoat wearing off, exposing my precious paint job to my rough, sandpaper-like hands. To compensate, I obviously want to apply more coating, but... What's your experience with multiple matte coats? ~AnthonyVG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267092-spray-finishing-question-how-many-layers-of-clear-coat/ Share on other sites
