Tycho6
I've just re-read Scions of the Storm in Tales of Heresy and am a little confused about when it is set. In the story Lorgar has been in self imposed isolation for a month following an audience with the Emperor. He then announces he is writing The Book of Lorgar. Up until that point I assumed it was set before Monarchia, but now I am not so sure. I thought Monarchia was the catalyst for him turning and that it was a last resort as he had failed to follow the Emperors earlier rebuke of him? Emperor's Furor
He went into seclusion after Monarchia, he then "found" what he was looking for *hint whispers in the dark* after coming out of seclusion he set about the crusade and made more worlds compliant in a short space of time than any other legion, however he was using it to work his way towards the eye of terror I believe, guided by the whispers and the counsel of Erebus and Kor Phaeron.
