skeletoro
Hey guys, just wondering if anybody has found a solution to this issue - I want to make some mk iv wolf guard models with bolt pistols and power axes (I'll probably use the cataphractii ones, but that's a side issue). The problem is that I really don't want to give them jump packs. As far as I can tell my options are: 1) buy the mk iv (or legion mk iv) set, plus a bolt pistol kit... but then I'm lacking correctly posed arms! 2) buy the mk iv assault marine set (I actually like the look of this one the best)... but then I've paid 10 pounds for jump packs I don't need, and am lacking the correct type of backpack (I'd be happy with either of the "normal" mk iv packs). Has anybody figured out a good solution to this issue? I mean, I could probably use normal plastic arms, but I'd prefer them to look mk iv-ish, and I'm not even sure I have enough in my bitz collection. Perhaps hot water and bending might help..? Does forgeworld take special requests (e.g. gimmie that set but with normal backpacks)? What's the best way to go about this? Jim AMM realgenius
If only FW would make a set of BP/CCW arms for each armor mark. I've been dying for this as well. feifei
Others say is not very accurate, as long as you feel good is ok. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267214-i-want-bolt-pistol-ccw-but-no-jump-packs/#findComment-3254494 Share on other sites
Raven Angel
You could try sourcing the packs on Ebay or contact FW and see if they will sell you the packs Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267214-i-want-bolt-pistol-ccw-but-no-jump-packs/#findComment-3254586 Share on other sites
spu00sed
If only FW would make a set of BP/CCW arms for each armor mark. I've been dying for this as well. I'm hoping there will do this, with a second bolt pistol per arm set. This will allow you to convert up Tactical marines with cow and bolt pistols Destroyers I'm also hoping for sets of 2 jump packs to make character conversions. Grotsmasha
The FW tactical arms work well enough for ccw, when repositioning them do it at the shoulder as the pad will cover the cut without needing GS to tidy it up. Also, take the time to pin the piece, its totally worth the hastle. alex567
The grey knight interceptor packs if you cut of the 4 pole bits that stick out of it I believe look pretty cool as pre heresy power packs, mix these in with some normal packs, and you'll probably be fine. GodEmperorOfMankind
You could buy the mk iv assault marine set and sell the jumpacks on ebay, this will then fund you being able to purchase the packs you want off ebay. AGPO
Check out the tutorial in the WIP section on Heresy era armour marks. There's instructions in there to turn mkVII arms into mkIV.
