Lepaca
Dorn did indeed survive the Heresy but is not alive in 40k and that is what I'm going for. As far as Papa Smurf goes... I'm inclined not to include him because he seems to be even dead-er than the E. What do the rest of you think? EDIT: Added links to the list! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267242-survivors-of-the-heresy/page/2/#findComment-3255466 Share on other sites

daveNYC
Luthor The Lion That Dread captain from the NL books might not be dead, he was at Terra and was still kicking at the end of Void Hunter. Septimus and other Nostromen (and women) survived the Heresy, but it's unlikely that any are alive at this point. Hawser may or may not be alive in 40k, the Battle of the Fang was in M32 and unless they had him stashed in the attic, the 1k Sons would have had control over his stasis vault. Given the evidence though, he should be on the list. Lepaca
Luthor Didn't realize Luther was still alive. Those nasty Dark Angels! The Lion Already on the list. That Dread captain from the NL books might not be dead, he was at Terra and was still kicking at the end of Void Hunter. Very true! Septimus and other Nostromen (and women) survived the Heresy, but it's unlikely that any are alive at this point. Also I'm not sure Septimus was from Nostramo... daveNYC
I thought he had the eyes. I could be totally wrong. There was one Nostrowoman who survived at the end of Void Hunter though. Brother Ambroz
After a few more musings Halasker could be alive. What about Perilictor? Not sure he'd count or not. How about that World Eater apothecary featured in some old artwork? Sorry that's very vague but that's all I remember about it. Brother Melice
Lord Commander Eidelon ended up with an interesting fate...... believed to be decapitated by Fulgrim, durring a ceremonial Victory feast, Eidelon's imbacilical underestimation drove Fulgrim into a flying rage and lead to his bbeheading. No Imperial records prove that Eidelon is alive since that incident, only in rumors, but no comfirmation of his death are recorded as well...-Lexicanum Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267242-survivors-of-the-heresy/page/2/#findComment-3255885 Share on other sites

People just like to drastically misinterpret things so their favourite Primarch is still alive, and then it becomes Internet Truth. Personally, I much prefer it that Dorn died defending the Imperium singlehandedly against overwhelming numbers, being dragged down in a desperate last stand. Personally, I much prefer it that Dorn died defending the Imperium singlehandedly against overwhelming numbers, being dragged down in a desperate last stand. I think this is a matter of how far back you go, though. I remember seeing different things. I know in Space Marine (the book), the whole body was found, and they have that in Lexicanum, but I remember seeing that it was only his hand that was found in Index Astartes II. However, I no longer possess it, so I am willing to admit that I could be completely wrong if you have it and it says otherwise. It has been a while. Lord_Caerolion
No, the Index Astartes mentions that they recover his remains, and that his hand is used as a holy relic. Nothing has ever stated that his whole body wasn't found, they simply don't use the word "whole" etc, and go on to say that his hand is on display. Like I said, I don't have that article anymore, so I can't say anything other than what I remember. I probably only remember his hand and not the rest of his remains because his hand was the focus point of it. There is new info on him in Angel Exterminatus. someone should get some shirts printed... I survived the Heresy and all I got was this lousy tee shirt... Khestra the Unbeheld
So the general concensus on Dorn is that he is still dead, right? Given what we know from past fluff and from Curze's vision in Prince of Crows that saw Dorn dead, I'd say he's as verifiably dead as could be expected of a Primarch. Chaplain ChonkE
Unless Dorn's skeleton is magically re-composing and re-knits all of Dorn's other organic/psychic constituents while in his amber-encased "Stasis Field" such as: Internal and external organs, brain, musculature, Emperor ingrained awesome, distilled grain alcohol and a pinch of cinnamon. Seem likely? Probably not. I dont think Babe the Blue Ox ([Guilliman] also sitting in stasis but more... intact...) is getting up anytime soon either. Deathwatch/Grey knight
well is their a source that they did find dorns body cause i really cant see IF removing anything from his body the reason their are no custodes in 40k is because they havent left terra since the battle of terra only one did i think 3,000 years later but they just guard the golden throne Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267242-survivors-of-the-heresy/page/2/#findComment-3256959 Share on other sites

The Colossus
The way I understood it, the Custodes no longer get involved in the Imperium's affairs, unless in dire circumstances, I.e. the Age of Apostasy.
