Brother apocalyptic
Hi! Just wanted to share my first attempt on making snow bases. Any comments or tips are most welcome so that I might improve em. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b103/Apo...ls/IMG_0066.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267300-bases-snow/ Share on other sites
Oojamaflip
Well, it's looking good. I can't quite make it out totally, cuz the light is reflecting off the snow, but from what I can tell you're going for a dryer snow, yeah? Snow that's been on the ground for a while and has started to crystalise a little? You don't have to do this, but it's an extra nice little touch. Try sprinkling a few stray pieces of snow around the snow line to snow where it may have melted away or smiply hasn't quite reached. It's a little more realistic than a sheer snow border. It's only a little touch though. I've just started making my bases a little more scenic lately, and I'm just throwing ideas around. It looks good though, and the terminater looks like it has a nice, neat paint job too. Brother apocalyptic
thanks... The look I want is pretty much what you say.. snow thats been lying for a while, and started to melt... Im gonna add some grass to the bases too, but Im definetly gonna test your idea out, sprinkling a bit of snow around...
