White Scars project

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, planning to start a White Scars 4th company and decided to do a quick test model.

It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the green shoulder pads. I know most examples of WS don't show company/brotherhood markings on the shoulder trim but I quite like it and I've not seen anyone else try it. I've used hawk turquoise instead of a true green as I think the paler shade works better with the white and red.

Cheers,

Brother Tancred

Quick update, haven't had much time to do any hobby stuff with work deadlines but managed to build my first tactical squad and stormtalon.

Hoping to get them basecoated soon but depends if it gets any colder

In response to the question in your original post, brother; I thought that green was a blue! It's kinda nice but I prefer red trim tbh (that is, however, immaterial). Suffice to say it looks well enough and seeing the reinforcements ready for a lick of paint, I think the Hawk Turquoise on the pads could grow on me.

I too think I need to see more finished minis before I can decide whether I like that turquoise or not.

Some nice poses in your tactical squad. Where is that knife handle from?

The knife handle is from the sheathed swords on the Berzerker sprue, I've got a ton of em :P

OT - I like the scheme, look forward to seeing how you approach the Stormtalon as I know painting vehicles White to be a struggle without an airbrush :tu:

Just caught your thread and I must say I like the hawk turquoise with the white. I think that it looks really good and is a good spot color to compliment the white and red. I can't wait to see some more of your painted models.
