Toxichobbit
They look good, but there's a few things i notice that could be improved upon. Firstly, as i'm sure other people will probably point out, drilling out the gun barrels would really help. Secondly, the OSL is good for your first try, but you've gone a bit too far. The light is going onto places where it couldn't physically reach, like on top of the fairing and on the front of the bolters. Light doesn't bend like that, so having it in places where it couldn't actually reach stops it from looking like light reflection and makes it instead just look like yellow paint. Try to imagine where the light would shine from the headlight if the bike was in a pitch black room - it'd be in a line in front of and below the light as well as on the inside of the bolters, but not on top or on the front of the bolters unless there was a second (or possibly third) light source. If you get rid of the light on the top of the fairing and front of the bolters and drill out those gun barrels, you'll have some awesome looking bikes :P. Res Ipsa Loquitur
Hello, Dave. I think those Multi-Meltas are letting down an otherwise really good paint-job. They're so plain and need their barrels drilling out. Papa Lazarou
Thanks for the response chaps , think I'll go back at some point and tweak the guns and redo the meltas, still debating wether life is to short to be drilling barrles though. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/267479-blood-angels-attack-bikes/#findComment-3258773 Share on other sites
ChromeZephyr
Those multi-meltas don't even look like they belong on the models. Everything else is great, like the OSL and the weathering...but then these giant, flat, metallic things just smack you in the face. It's like a booger hanging out of a hot woman's nose; she's still hot, but wow is that distracting. Will definatley have to relook at them in a couple of weeks, they were the last things to do so guess I got a little board at that point. Xenith
Those multi-meltas don't even look like they belong on the models. Very true. Painting the casings black will help tie them in with the rest of the model. Good work!
