lilloser Posted December 19, 2012 Author Share Posted December 19, 2012 Cheers guys, I'm thrilled you like the miniature. The faded black was created by highlighting the black with Reaper master series aged bone (bleached bone would be fine). I use the dusting technique to undercoat the miniature, paint all the armour sections with aged bone, then shade with black. I also use oil paint to help with smooth the tranision between the shade and highlight. I have a few photos of a black templar dreadnought I was working on that uses this highlighting technique.
