So erm...how is everyone doing against Daemons?

Tempest's Wrath. It will make the demons player deploy outside that bubble. It will be harder for them to get into range turn one to drop templates on your army. Remember that rune staffs wound demons on 2+. My only experience vs demons was a draw. But Tempest's wrath prevented him from lighting me up too early.

Tempest's Wrath isn't that impressive- First, the demons have to roll difficult terrain checks. So only ~ 1 in 6 demons is in any danger (Dice being dice, this number will of course vary). Even if the Demon does take a wound, it's still got it's invulnerable save; In the case of flamers, it's a 4+, so you're only going to hurt 1 in 12 demons. The advantage is if your opponent hasn't caught onto infantry not really giving a crap about normal dangerous terrain in 6th edition.

Other stuff- Allies offer a wide variety of advantages (Codex Marine librarians with Null zone will halve the number of armor saves they make, while Inquisitor Coteaz with a squad of Strike Knights is an anti-deep strike defense Demons have a genuine reason to fear), but in codex, you still have a couple of options. Fenrisian Wolf Screens will keep the flamers at arms reach, and of course Runic Weapons will make mincemeat of all but the most powerful of demons, particularly if you've got saga of the beastslayer giving you re-rolls against their monstrous creatures.
