Buster
I've seen quite a few Adeptus Custodes armies around and I really like the look of them. I've been giving it some thought and together with some gift cards and cash received as gifts I've begun planning my own version of this army. Now I'm borrowing heavily from others here who have inspired me and I think I've found something I'm happy with money wise. I'm not the best converter in the world and wanted to run the list of parts I'm considering by the community here for some thoughts and advice. Anyways, enough rambling, here's my shopping list; White Lion helmets or Scibor SF helmets (I think these are the generic cone shaped ones). I like the Scibor ones but can get almost twenty of the Lion helmets for about the same as eight of the Scibor ones. Phoenix Guard Cloaks and Legs. I've seen the cloaks used before and think it works. The chain skirt the legs have seem to fit my take on the Custodes lower armor pretty well. Scibor SF Spartan shoulders. I've seen these used before and think they fit spot on. Plus the price is right for these. Sanguinary Guard torsos. Again I've seen these used before and think they're perfect. Sanguinary Guard/Grey Knight arms and weapons. The plan here is to mesh the two together to get a passable version of Guardian Spears. Back Packs. Not really sure where to go here. I think that about covers the bits. I'm not really sold on the cloaks (not sure how to fit the back packs with the cloaks) or the legs. I'm very open to suggestions since I'm about to drop close to 200 bucks on 500 points worth of models for this project. AGPO
I'd consider Anvil Industries for the cloaks. They fit power armour very well and aren't too expensive. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing the results.
